An albumtitle that's telling you not to be scared is either a good warning or a claim that will work against you. And I can tell you this is the first album that really gives me the feeling some people do care about the crisis. Or at least tear your senses to shreds trying to get their message across.
In their interview they talk about how they love the Skinny Puppy sound while also saying they spent heaps of time creating their own sound. And with the addition of breaks, Ant-zen industrial and a lot of punk attitude they have achieved exactly that.
Good songs are the industrial metal anthems 'Traders Must Die' and 'Cybernetic Babies'. The mashup of dubstep, breaks and industrial of 'I Do Not Divert Eyes' is also very impressive. The eerie instrumental 'Let The Bombs Fall' is a much needed rest in the midst of all the chaos. I also liked the disturbing children's tale of 'Lizzie And The Charming Prince' and the playful use of lyrics in 'Anger Is A Show'. So overall it's a pretty good album, suffering slightly from being a bit too long and screamish. But then again, how else to express your disgust with society?
Their liveshows are a confrontation and with the great artwork it's clear their project is a complete package. Get ready for an onslaught at Shadowplay, you have been warned! And remember, fucking traders must die!
