DARK UNSPOKEN

One of the unknown bands that adorns the Echozone-catalogue are Dark Unspoken who have their third album out.

Taking a look at their picture,you may think that this three piece from Westfalen are into psychobillyrock from the 50's but from the moment you slip this CD into your player, you'll immediately hear the industrial electronic beats of this band.

It's quite clear you can divide this CD in two parts.

Tracks like "Angels In Summerrain" (what do I love is this simple but effective melody!) or "Buried In Wonderland" are without any doubt inspired by Funkervogt as not only you get those same type vocals but even those trumpet sounding beats are ripped off. Not one sane person in this world will say that they're original, unless they never heard a futurepop-album in their life, but that's not the point as Dark Unspoken understood what it takes to write a memorable tune

Other tracks like "Ich Mache Der Maschinen" combines experimental indus sounds with a clubby factor which reminds us of Massiv In Mensch.

There are indeed hundreds albums like these and if you're looking for something quite unique you better avoid this but if you don't care about it all, we guess Dark Unspoken has a right to exist as it's not any worse (or better) than many of the acts which are promoted by bigger labels.
