In the 90s, Henning Sedlmeir was a well known name in the German underground scene. With his noise rock band Blind, he shared the stage with acts like Melvins. Apparently the German is fed up of all that noise these days, because since a while he makes alternative German pop.

The compositions of Henning Sedlmeir still sound messy, but the musician now seeks the missing link between the mainstream pop of Herbert Grönemeyer and the Neue Deutsche Welle by say Rheingold. Nice songs, sometimes funny, but it is obvious that this record will only have an effect on the German market. Although never say never, who expected that Peter Fox would score a monster hit with Haus Am See?

In de jaren 90 was Henning Sedlmeir een bekende naam in de Duitse undergroundscène. Met zijn toenmalige noiserockband Blind deelde hij het podium met acts als Melvins. Blijkbaar heeft de Duitser genoeg van al dat lawaai, want sinds een tijdje maakt hij gewoon alternatieve Duitse pop.

De composities van Henning Sedlmeir klinken nog wel rommelig, maar de muzikant zoekt tegenwoordig de ontbrekende schakel tussen de mainstreampop van Herbert Grönemeyer en de Neue Deutsche Welle van zeg maar Rheingold. Leuke liedjes, soms grappig, alleen is het overduidelijk dat deze plaat alleen maar effect zal hebben op de Duitse markt. Hoewel zeg nooit nooit, wie had ooit gedacht dat Peter Fox een monsterhit zou scoren met Haus Am See?
