BETRAYAL AT BESPIN

This is the first time I hear some music of this Finnish band and actually it's not bad at all. It's some kind of a soundtrack for an imaginary movie or a personal journey. It's a bit dark, cloudy, spacy... but I especially like the voice that sings from time to time. You have to imagine the guitars, a synth, cello, violin and some kind of a dark atmosphere which runs over some dreamy thing or an upcoming seawave. Sometimes it gets even a bit jazzy or even bluesy.

Songs to remember are for sure 'Cherbourg' and 'Last dance', listen to them and you'll hear it for yourself.'My hands are on fire' has a nice metal grunt and a sound that comes from early Marylin Manson-records mixed with a floating sound and dito guitar. I love those rythm changes! 'Moon River' is a nice last song, drifting away and a bit inspired by Anathema.

This cd never annoyed me or my spouse, it fitted in perfectly to the background. Sometimes it's even relaxed or made me dream. You might want to catch the mood of this cd and drift away... like I did! A great catch.
