ELEVEN POND

Wow, what was that? That was my first impression when I listened for the first time to this recording. Original from 1986 it made me feel very clear who is influenced by who. I love the retro sound and typical minimal wave structure. The Cure meets Clan of Xymox, but then with some American influences. It´s a good thing that this one got reissued by Desire Records and Dark Entries. Fans of the classical eighties sound should really download and buy this one as fast as they can. Just a few names of songs I love and then I go back to my couch to listen again and again to this lovely reissue... ´Tear and Cinnamon´ has a typical Sisters of Mercy sound mixed with some 'Cure' guitars and a male voice that makes you dream and drift away and forget about time and space. ´Watching Trees`, no clear sound but a minimal one and what a clin d`oeil into Clan of Xymox and I want this song as part of a DJ set. ´Days Hence´ needs more words to think back about The Cure mixed with some american western sound? ´Tightrope´ for the nice bass and minimal sound,... Hence I can really go for each song, so I leave it from now on to you...
