MOMEND

Momend are Latvian guys who recorded this cd intheir own country during the winter and mastered it in Sweden (it's their first) and you can hear that it has a typical campfire or cold winter cd-sound, which I love very much. "The Rust On My Golden Teeth" (was their first single) sounds like a mix between Brainstorm and the soft side of Bon Jovi. It's their most popular song on the cd. 'On My Palms' reminds me a bit more about Soul Asylum. On 'Sand And Water' we hear the voice of the singer goiing and very high and sounding really like he's going to break up in tears. A really great song and already I'm thinking: what a great discovery. 'Two Sides' is the second single and is featuring Anete Kozlovska, another highlight on this cd. The voice is really blending with the music (what a great piano). The accoustic and very intimate sound on the next songs is very nice, giving me goose bumps. The outburst of energy on the last song is great to end 'If I Belong' just asks for the repeat buttom. This is for sure a band for the future...
