Another good 7" single EP from Enfant Terrible. Artifecal are from Spain and make a weird connection between 60's garage rock and early 80's synthpop made with a Casiotone...
Most songs here are up-tempo and have raw, lo-fi vocals. The eastern influences in "I Sell My Blood" remind me a lot of No More, even the voice is very similar to Andy Schwarz's voice...
"Fly High" combines this raunchy voice with a fair organ melody, not as in "The Carny" by Nick Cave, but in a less dramatic way. The last song, "It's Not Too Late", shows a bluesrock side of Artifecal, sounding like a slowed down version of La Muerte.
The vocals are what's connecting everything on this 7". Maybe you could say it is neither fish nor fowl, but it still is a great record. I love the way the voice sounds and to get away with all those different styles, can only call for admiration! A must have and make it snappy, there's only 150 available!
