EXPONENTIA

It's always strange to hear somebody from la douce France singing in German, but ok: the vocoder did his job. EXPONENTIA must be big fans of Sopor Aeternus... The music sounds great, but to me the voice really doesn't fit. Ok, I got the deal about the story and the idea, but I keep on thinking that the original is so much better. Maybe Dead Mans Hill could have been a better muse? I remember that Acromates de Tristitia once did a good job, but i'm really not keen on this one. A good advice: if you want to make spooky music and sing about the death and vampires, it's all about getting the audience into the music. Creating the right athmosphere for this is really hard, so work hard on it to make us believe in it. Yet again, work harder or just give up and focus on something else... There is so much more in life than wasting our time! I gave this advice to more bands in the past and believe me: they feel so much better and happier now that they focus on other things... At least: you tried...
