A brand new band from Atlanta, ORCUS NULLIFY makes something between darkwave, futurepop and gothic rock. A four song EP is all they currently have so this will be a quick one...
The first song "March Of The Lost" is indeed a good combination of very danceble futurepop, packed with enough punch and guitars to please a lot of people on the dancefloor. The recording quality is pretty bad though, if a guy like Boris Posavec (Blame - Convergent Fields) can make top quality than we can expect the same from these guys, it's not like we are still living in the 80's... It sounds like a bad cassette tape.
"Numbness" is a disaster, the loudness of the vocals seem to change all the time, musically it's not much more then a demo and the horrible guitar fits like a turd in a cake... You get all the previous again during "Take The Blame", just a bit more obnoxious actually...
The last one has almost no guitar, but it's still junk. Uninspired junk that fluctuates between uptempo futurepop and slow, bleak gothrock... Sorry guys, make up your mind, WHAT exactly do you want to do?
