No introduction needed. For years they have been building a solid fanbase worldwide. Belin based Pink Turns Blue already gave us many hits and albums and have earned their pride place in many record cabinet in homes around the world. Many of their singles have become culthits. And many are known outside the scene. Like their hit Something Deep Inside, used in the thriller The Madness Inside Me (2020) by Matthew Berkowitz.

They also put their facemasked heads at the window during these pandemic times. The new single There Must Be Much More is another postpunk masterpiece. A decent and sturdy bass line as a backbone, surrounded by shreds of synths and frugal guitars. The guitars get to play out towards the end of the song, with a shrill and scouring élan.

Again a masterpiece added to the already impressive repertoire of these Berliners.

Ze behoeven geen introductie meer. Jarenlang hebben ze wereldwijd al een stevige fanbase opgebouwd. Het Berlijnse Pink Turns Blue bedacht ons al met vele hits en albums die bij elke oprechte liefhebber wel ergens opduiken in de platenkast.
Vele singles zijn intussen halve of hele culthits. En ze zijn ook breder bekend. Zo werd in 2020 hun hit Something Deep Inside gebruikt in de thriller The Madness Inside Me van Matthew Berkowitz.

In deze pandemietijden komen ze ook hun in mondkapjes gehulde neus aan het muzikale raam steken. De nieuwe single There Must Be Much More is een zoveelste postpunk-meersterwerkje. Een oerdegelijke en stevig om zich heen slaande baslijn als ruggengraat, met daar omheen flarden synths en zuinig aanwezige gitaartjes. Naar het einde toe komt de gitaar eens flink huis houden met snerpend en schurend elan.

Alweer een meersterwerkje toegevoegd aan het al indrukwekkende repertoire van de Berlijners.
