From time to time it makes music lovers furious to see how non-talents are filling venues with just one good word from a hip radio station, then again that's life and in Belgium (like everywhere else) there are plenty of bands like these.
Every country has its lost hero's, the type of bands who struggle for years to be heard, but they persevere with a heart that's filled with love and passion. They refuse to give up and why should they? Their mission is to perform and compose music they cherish. over here Sol 19 (sometimes marked as Sol XIX) are one of them. From time to time it makes music lovers furious to see how non-talents are filling venues with just one good word from a hip radio station, but then again that's life and in Belgium (like everywhere else) there are plenty of bands like these. For Belgium, Sol 19 (also called Sol XIX) are a lost hero.
Sol 19 have been around since 1986 (almost three decades!) and on this self made album you hear a beautiful collection of the music this band is capable of.
Difficult to find a description that these guys are deserving of, but if they were Germans they easily could compete with players like De/Vision or Melotron as Sol 19 makes intelligent synthpop which sounds at moments quite spacey!
Sol XIX even succeed in writing a real classic (not everyone can say this) as "Little Wicked" is a song that sticks in your head from the moment you hear it!
Discover it now and do it now as twenty years is far too long for this band to be neglected!
