Hacking The Wave is a side project of Victor Love, who is known as the front man of Dope Stars Inc. It started as an unanimous phenomenon on the internet, and only cyberpunks and electroheads knew about it. Gradually, it became more popular and now Hacking The Wave has a first self -released single out: Circuit Breakers. It is a collaboration with ORAX, who is more familiar with synthesizers and plays the saxophone part on this single.

The style of the single can’t be summarized in a few terms. There's melody, a robotic voice that seems to be taken out of a bad science fiction movie, crushing drum beats and heavy guitar work. At times it sounds as industrial metal, then again as electro punk.

Will Mister Love become popular with it? No idea. If you have four minutes time, just listen and decide for yourself!

Hacking The Wave is een zijproject van Victor Love, die het grote publiek kent als frontman van Dope Stars Inc. Het startte als een unaniem verschijnsel op het internet, en eigenlijk wisten alleen cyberpunks en electroheads van het bestaan ervan af. Maar stilaan werd het populairder, en nu heeft Hacking The Wave de eerste zelf uitgebrachte single Circuit Breakers op de markt gegooid. Het is een samenwerking met ORAX, die eerder thuis is in synthesizers en ook ook voor de saxofoonpartij op deze single zorgt.

De stijl van de single is niet in een paar termen te vatten. Er zit melodie in, een robotstemmetje dat uit een slechte sciencefictionfilm lijkt te zijn geknipt, snoeiharde drumbeats en zwaar gitaarwerk. Het klinkt op bepaalde momenten als industrial metal, dan weer als electropunk.

Of mister Love hier nu potten mee zal breken? Geen idee. Als je 4 minuten tijd over hebt, gewoon eens beluisteren en vel zelf een oordeel!
