Sievehead is a young band from Sheffield (UK). From The Lughole, a DIY space 'run by punks for the punks’, the band members try to conquer the rest of the world with music that is reminiscent of The Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen, while Fugazi and Minor Threat are never far away. Fast tempos, growling vocals and lots of guitar noise, that is what Seavehead has in store for you.

No Grapes starts fast and furious, but it sounds very attractive, with loud guitars, a drum at high tempo and burly vocals. Mmmm... Look Both Ways starts a little hesitant, but the drums and the beautiful whining electric guitar build a grand party in the style of the Spanish rockers of Heroes del Silencio, and that's very far from punk... Hoax starts with a very original instrumental intro at a lingering pace; the vocals are more mixed in the background in favor of the electric guitars

that sound very much to the fore. Again a beautiful composition with an attractive chorus and magnificent guitar work. However, a punk band needs tempo and so you hear a built-in acceleration at the end.

Dream Snatchers sounds rough, but the combination of reverberating electric guitars and clean vocals leads to a very attractive result, while Try the Mirror is quieter, but no less interesting, with bizarre guitar sounds, a passionate tempo and vocals - oh well - sounding like Heroes del Silencio... Title track Into the Blue comes out of the speakers like a solid straightforward rock song, Weakened is pure punk and in Last Words, the boys of Sievehead go at full speed once more.

For an album in this genre, Into the Blue is more than sufficiently varied.
