Some bands immediately give you the feeling that they're on the right track. Despite the cliché name, the good things here, start with the cover.
This one seems to come from some old Marlon Brando movie, so it's no wonder that you the feel like you’ve landed in the 50’s.
This trio from Portugal choose for an exciting melting pot where rock 'n roll, blues, psychedelica and stonerock seems to be the vast ingredients.
Outside Portugal they might be unknown so far, but this can all change with their latest offering that's produced by Boz Boorer (Polecats, Morrissey).
They also could count on the musical help from saxophone player Terry Edwards, a name that dedicated rock fans know, as he’s a permanent fixture for acts like the mighty Gallon Drunk and PJ Harvey.
The nine songs that are featured on here never get under the 5 minutes border. They might lead them to the way of international recognition and will certainly please fans from say, The Birthday Party.
Saying they do anything new would be too much of an exaggeration but what they do is good and sometimes that's a rare thing to find, at least today.
