Reason is a Hungarian Dark Metal band with a very commercial sound. Must be because of the great studio work! The first track has some grunting and a very melancholic clean voice genre Peter O' Steele (Type O Negative)! I hear some synths in it and the idea that it feels like the more aggressive version of Nickelback might be a good one. A track like 'War' reveals more inspiration by Type O Negative. Listen to the guitars, the drums, the synths and the voice! It's true they added some grunting! 'October' has real speed metal drums, more grunting and a great clean voice. There are some cool down moments where the track becomes acoustic with a medieval feel. It feels like travelling through a dream, a nice feeling! The deep bass voice in the cool down reminds me a bit of Metallica (during 'Nothing Else Matters'). A bluesy guitar jumps in and show offs its possibilities. 'Black Horizon' is softer, however one guitar tries to lift up the tempo. Truly a Type O Negative minded track. I love the piano & synths in it, for sure the passage just before the sound blast. 'Exodus' is a real rocker from the start, spitting fire! 'Relief' is a great ballad: filled with emotions!
Well, it was great to mistake one band with the other, not knowing that there were two bands with the same name and fishing in the same musical pool! It's for sure that this one is the best of both!
So don't mistake them with the folks from this review
