In Cold Blood starts with a piano and a very sensitive sounding voice before the electronics awaken and turn it into a synth/disco killer track! It all sounds very catchy and it's hard to stand still. More disco comes with When The Lights Go Out, an absolutely great retro electro track that will create a sweet party on stage. I like the stomping bass and the sweet catchiness of the sound. It sounds a bit like Mesh in love....
More sweetness and a catchy chorus come with What you need. The electronics play an important role in this one, but don't underestimate the great nostalgic sounding vocals. The end almost feels like an eclectic sound orgasm. Gigolo sounds very retro, like the original Shatoo or Flesh and the Pan. Another catchy sound that is so typical for this band is Two Steps from Heartache (click for the EP). Already loved that one in the past and my love for this one hasn't faded a bit. This Town is Mine starts like a slow ballad with a very sensitive voice and nice backings. It features a solitary trumpet that is part cavalry "Last Post" and part sleazy jazz club. Make The Final changes the mood into a more ice cold retro Depeche Mode party! I really enjoy the beats and the vocals. 2015 is a more synth driven filler. Solo Ko is the last blow, before knocking us out: yes, a vocal and musical uppercut. It's a magisterial end for a great album! Thumbs up and can't wait to see them on stage in Belgium! And before I forget to mention it: there is a great piano ballad attached at the end of this one, you might even shed a tear afterwards, so stick on it until the very end!
