CTM, it sounds like the name sounds of an electro band without emotion, but that is not the case. Behind this strange name hides a woman: singer-songwriter Cæcilie Trier. No, she is not just another woman with an acoustic guitar who suddenly thinks she is the new Joan Baez. On Suite For A Young Girl, the Danish artist creates an amazing sound carpet that is made of strange electronic sounds.

Because of her distinctive voice, you tend to mutter names like Nico or even Laurie Anderson, and that is primarily because Cæcilie is not afraid to use any experiment, even though the album sounds very accessible.

The eight compositions are synthetic, but they all contain an incredible warmth. You won’t find a real structure in the songs, although they form a tight set in which every detail has its own important function.
 
Definitely recommended for fans of heavenly voices!

CTM, de naam klinkt als een kille electroband zonder emoties, maar dat is het nu net niet. Achter deze vreemd nqaam verschuilt zich een vrouw: singer-songwriter Cæcilie Trier. Neen, ze is niet de zoveelste vrouw met een akoestische gitaar die denkt dat ze Joan Baez is. Op Suite For A Young Girl tovert de Deense kunstenares een vreemd elektronisch klankentapijt tevoorschijn dat zowel abstract als verterend mooi is.

Door haar zeer aparte stem durf je wel eens de namen Nico of zelfs Laurie Anderson mompelen, en dat komt in de eerste plaats omdat Cæcilie niet vies is van enig experiment, ook al klinkt het zeer toegankelijk.

Ook al zijn alle acht composities synthetisch, stralen ze één voor één een ongelooflijke warmte uit. Een echte structuur is er niet in de nummers te vinden, ook al vormen ze een sluitend geheel waarin ieder detail zijn functie heeft.

Absoluut aan te raden voor fans van hemelse vocalen!
