This is a small compilation that contains some dark songs in different genres. You can obtain it as a mp3 on Bandcamp or as a classy cassette on the Belgian-based Wool-E-Tapes. Six songs that feel like a journey in a dark world.

Tina Ratzinger opens with So Long Dear Satan, a track that sounds a bit like The Cramps or Fad Gadget. Next is the German experimental electronic duo Air Liquide with Nevrosis Analysis, while Charnier sounds more like a mixture of post punk, industrial and other similar dark genres. If you want to relive the good old Front 242-sound then Luminance ft Acapulco City might be the answer. The Brussels-based duo Excuse Excuse makes electronica with a dirge, quite impressive. Finally there is the dark sound of Yersinia Pestis: superb electronics coming from the underground!

Well, this makes us conclude that this is a great compilation, the only letdown is that is far too short!

Deze eerder kleine compilatie telt een aantal donkere nummers in verschillende muzikale genres en is verkrijgbaar als mp3 via Bandcamp of als cassette via Wool-E-Tapes. Zes nummers lang neemt deze compilatie je mee in een duistere wereld.

Tina Ratzinger opent met So Long Dear Satan, een nummer dat dicht bij The Cramps of Fad Gadget aanleunt. Dan is er het Duitse experimentele electro duo Air liquide, dat met Nevrosis Analysis een beklemmend werkje aflevert. Charnier gaat met Wakened Cries eerder richting post punk, industrial en aanverwante donkere genres uit. Luminance ft Acapulco City Hunters brengt een nummer uit dat in de traditie van Front 242 ligt. Het Brusselse duo Excuse Excuse is electronica met daarbovenop een monotone klaagzang. Als afsluiter is er Yersinia Pestis (letterlijk vertaald als de pestbacterie) dat met z'n elektronische brij vanuit de krochten van de onderwereld lijkt te komen: een donker stukje sfeermuziek met zwaar vervormde stemmen.

Conclusie: een heerlijk donkere compilatie die jammer genoeg veel te snel voorbij is.
