Being a reviewer means that your post box got daily overwhelmed by unrequested releases. But that’s of course not your problem, but still I think most of our readers won’t be thrilled hearing the funkrock (as they say themselves) by German outfit ChickPeace.
Not that it’s bad, the voice from female vocalist Kelly-Anne Sutter is even brilliant and isn’t that far away from Harriet Wheeler, yes her out of The Sundays. The problem are the three songs that are presented on this EP, they simple miss balls. You feel that the members are having the time of their life, but they forget that the listener is also waiting for something. But if you’re in for an inferior Selah Sue (I’m not), check them out.
