Individually, Martin Bowes and John Costello have performed experiments in sound for 30 years; Martin with Attrition and John under his own name. Together they approach the same goal from different sides and have concocted an atypical mix of minimal wave, body music, soundtrack tonalities and lush melodies, bound with washes of dark electronics.

So a wheel turns a full circle and a partnership forged 17 years ago is rejuvenated. Back in 1996 the original version of “What Am I?” impressed Brian John Mitchell so much that he released it in demo form on his Silber Records label's debut compilation album, Alleviation. 2013 sees the project consolidated, with a remade and remodelled version of “What Am I?” and the compelling atmospherics of “Law of Betrayal” (has a nice Dead Can Dance appeal mixed with electronics) and “Hi Teikei” No (a spooky and dark song, don't listen to it alone in the dark). Following in 2014 are an album, live shows and other limited edition releases.

I must say that this remodelling is not bad, the fans of this kind of music will for sure be happy with it!
