LUST FOR YOUTH

Along with the highly acclaimed Contrepoison, Avant! Records will also release this month  "Solar Flare" by Lust For Youth (available both on cd and vinyl, limited to 300 copies)

Lust For Youth are a duo from Göteborg that already have a split 7" out with Blessure Grave and a lot of tapes on different labels, this is their debutalbum that also exists in tapeversion on Järtecknet.

Some people already compared them to Absolute Body Control, New Order or Cabaret Voltaire and we guess these comparisons are drawn for a reason. For us Lust For Youth have the sound that Cold Cave had before they went all neo-postpunk, very industrial-like.

Apart from some distorted vocals, most of the tracks are instrumental and kind of dominated by the analogue sounds we know from Trisomie 21 during their  "Wait And Dance" -days.

This album is quite accessible even if the music is very lo-fi and at times experimental. Anyway, an absolute must for minimal fans.
