MINT

In 2000 these guys played the finale of Humo's Rock Rally. In Belgium, their home, that means a lot as all the biggest bands played once the final of this band contest... So if you reached it, it means you are worth it!

We get 4 tracks, all pretty nice and simple tracks, pretty happy tracks. First track is the poppy and very sweet 'Army of Love'. Be sure to brush your teeth's after this one. Don't misunderstand me: it's a great track! I like the catchy - and almost sounding like a minimal wave one - 'Luna Park'. The soft voice gives it some kind of dreaming touch, with a touch of The Jesus and Mary Chain. 'Dark Water' is more indie. The catchiness stays, the voice gets a bit more awake and activates the song a bit more. Some might even start to move a bit on this one. The minimal wave influences is reduced, for sure once the vocals gets backed up and lift the track a bit more. 'Summertime Clothes' is rather a spring song, bursting, announcing better weather... I cherish the positive vibe and sunny sound! It's a great last track, pushing on the repeat function!

Belgium got talent, so I hope to hear more from the Mint boys!
