With 'Some Stories And Thoughts' the Ukrainian couple 'The Nightchild', consisting of Alexey Nightchild A. (vocals, guitar, keyboard, programming) and Olga 'Holy Cat' (bass), offer classic gothic rock with a typical tongue in cheek Balkan accent giving it an even more realistic batcave sound. 10 strong songs, with, my personal favourites, ‘Away’, ‘Stay With Me’ and ‘It Is Time’ which contains superb lyrics, ready for a strong live set. A nice one to discover. It's been a longtime since I've heard this kind of good stuff. In fact, since I heard the first notes from The Elusive, so head on!
