UNITARY

As you can read in the earlier review from my collegue Didier in 2011, UNITARY is a great futurepop band from Sweden.

With Misanthropy being their third full album (Safe From Harm in 2011 and Second To None in 2003, preceded by the EP Desolate Ways in 2002), the sound did not make a huge evolution, though the level stays way up there!

Again, we can hear 9 fresh and very stylish synthpop tracks, followed by a few remixes by e.g. Spektralized.

Although I feel synthpop and futurepop are a bit over their highlight here in the Belgian scene (OK, except for Ronan and Mark), it is always a great pleasure to hear that in other countries, the genre keeps scoring. Great tracks with good attention for lyrics and refinement in the mastering: it really is ear-candy for me. No race towards the hardest beat, but a finishing touch with a velvet glove. Yes: this is it! And UNITARY hits the jackpot, with "My Profane" being my personal favorite.

My beloved (sic): music should always be this simple: just lay back and enjoy!
