Héctor I. Benitez, aka H.[RÆ] or Rugitus Æternam, brings with “Rhythms for a distorted age” his first album with the label Moonslave Radio.
Benitez lives and works in the legendary city of Tijuana, Mexico. In this album you can here influences of industrial, hardcore, breakcore,.. and that gives credit to the title of this album.
Rhythms for a distorted age, is it distorted? Yes it is. You go on a journey from “Arising from Oblivion” over dreams, illusions and the distorted reality to “The Realm of Insanity”.
Every song does exactly wath it promisses. In it’s genre all of them are wel composed and they will pull you in to a dark and dreamy place. Do you want to dance with the darkness or just let it com over you, this album gives a decent soundtrack to it.
For me personnaly it could have been even more distorted. I hoped for more surprises but they didn’t realy happen. Maybe on the next album?
