Disko Obscura

Ortrotasce 2014 self-titled album is a collection of sole member Nic Hamersly work recorded between 2012 and 2013 in the USA. The label Disko Obscura describes the LP as “a two headed beast” which sounds about right.
The four tracks on Side A are analogue synth laden cold wave. New System is my favorite on this side. It's instrumental with guitar and synth lines which repeat each other… a bit like a Cold Wave duelling banjo.
Side B changes to 5 EBM numbers. Loosing my Mind is my favorite on here, its very like Twitch era Ministry. Some nice samples, pounding drums and great chanting vocals from Nic. The LP is limited to 500 hand numbered copies. That Deliverance reference has me craving some ham.
