Smith (Editors) & Burrows (We Are Scientists, ex-Razorlight) bring us some very nice X-mass songs. Unlike 1.000 similar projects this one is a great catch. You can dream away or feel sad, think about what a warm friendship means in a cold winter... Love the piano, the strings and Smith's voice on 'In The Bleak Midwinter' and 'When The Thames Froze'. An amazing high class surprise are the coverversions of 'Wonderful Life' (Black, but without the warm marimba and southern touch) and 'Only You' (Yazoo). Burrows adds his warm voice (wonderful on 'As The Snowflakes Fall') and with the tiny help from Agnes Obel on the last song 'Christmas Song' this heavenly good project ends in beauty.
It's an absolute must have for this Christmas!
