One of my Facebook friends introduced me to this album and I was astonished by its quality. It sounds like how Marilyn Manson could have sounded if he was still a youngster and in need of a breakthrough. Honestly, I loved his first albums, but later I just felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that goths, NIN and Marilyn Manson fans will love this album!
After the introduction we get straight to the point with 'Valentine's day', their first single. It starts slowly but develops the typical NIN versus Marilyn Manson style soon enough. This the song for broken hearts on Valentine's Day, for sure! One of the songs I loved the most is 'No suffering', their second single. It's clear where their influences come from, but it still gets you to believe the story. Love the nasty fly! Also love the NIN influence on 'Slit your wrists'. I can imagine them playing it live whilst an angry crowd goes completely insane. 'Sexual Decimation' has a more gothic rock and even an Umbra et Imago approach. I think some bondage lovers will use this one to get to a certain high, before it explodes into a death punk song. In 'Is this hot enough' the music is a fair bit softer, but I love the vibe of the vocals. I think on this one, a nice remix can make for a better outcome. 'King of her' sounds a bit like The Nightchild, but somehow I still feel this song needs more tempo and harder screaming. 'Your F***ing love' hits the right tempo and vibe, likewise for 'Vista'. The church bells and scary graveyard sounds in 'Remedicate' make sure that you know it's the final song. When the guitars take over, you can hear the end coming. A good outro to end the suffering!
