Markus Schulz has been a German dance and trance DJ / producer for over a decade... Alter Ego Dakota is a way for him to explore the darker side of dance, without really leaving the path of clubsounds. Do not expect sounds like Front 242, VNV Nation or Wumpscut, but an own interpretation of 'dark electronics' of the 'modern' clubscenes.
A progressive approach which reminds me of artists like early Aphex Twin in his ambient years, or Laurent Garnier peeps around the corner. Oh yes, dance can sound dark... Dark and long, as Underworld already taught us!
