Despite the number of elements, The Heat Inc combines their musical style and still tastes like a damn-good unwatered whiskey. Even though all the songs on their upcoming EP are quite different. The opening “Down In The City” sounds both a bit romantic and chaotic. Aike a casual sex in the backyard. It goes different ways with the punk-rock type of attitude presented from “Raptors” to “Sammy Swing Easy”.
The Heat Inc is a group of incredibly damn-good blues musicians approaching what they’re doing with a punk-rock attitude. Or, rather post-punk ? It’s not all about “faith and fury” of course. Romantics and inventors. They hook you with different dynamic changes on songs like “Polaroids”, where the band keeps on exploring the boarders of compositional structure, creating a whole special feel of nostalgia for a too-fast-ended relationship enhanced by the closing “Your After Love Song”.
