TOUCHING THE VOID

'Obsession' has clearly 80's synth/electronic vibes, lots of melancholy, tenderness and sounds oh so fragile! I absolutely love the vocals! It's the kind of tracks that almost make you cry, for sure if you are tired are in slight depressive mood! 'In this together' starts with a great piano that moves me, the fragility of the vocals strike me and take me down! My heart is heavily touched by this vocal purity and fragility!

The remixes that follow don't overcome the original power, it seems thou almost impossible! But the remixes build up a wider sound. Take the 'obsession' remix: it's clear that the man behind this remix give their personal touch to it and I like it, but again: the original is just unbeatable and that doesn't happen much as in most of the cases the remix is better, not here and that is the power of this band (not the failure of the remixers)! The remix of 'In this together' took away the piano and built up almost the same sound as with 'Obsession' (the Original) with that typical 80's sound! The vocals are a bit set back to the background, taking away the powers.

Well, the originals really got me hooked; the vocals bewitched me and reached my heart! This one deserves a top score!
