Rocket Girl

Anyone who was into the postrockscene will certainly have heard of Füxa as they were surely one of the highlights of a scene that burnt itself. Dirty D is already their tenth album and they describe it themselves as a sonic celebration of creativity.
Right, everybody says that, but still this album got a grip on me especially if you play it over and over again and that's what happens when you only have one cd in your car when you have to drive a long distance. On this albums Füxa are having the help from collaborators such as pedal steel hero JB Cole, Ann Shenton of Add N To (X), Suki Ewers of Mazzy Star and longtime legend Judy Dyble of Fairport Convention.
It's very hard to describe this music, but all by all its stuff that gets to the core. Music which opens itself to you and all you can do is falling in love even if it's cover from a song you heard too many times (of course I'm referring to Stand By Me from Ben E. King). Another cover on this album is Different Drum by Linda Rondstadt and this country lady might not be a hip lady, she still know to write a good song and that's what Füxa have understand.
Electronics mixed with some genius songwriting, it's surely nothing new, but in the case of this album it feels like it. A very fragile thing to discover and even if you hate the concept of post-rock you might love this. Try it.
